Situated in the heart of Oxfordshire, this luxurious boutique guesthouse is just around the corner from Blenheim Palace and a stone's throw (or short bus ride) from Oxford's bustling city centre and magnificent University colleges.

The picturesque property, built in the 17th Century, is steeped in history, with carvings on the walls and window alcoves that bring the past to life. Today, the guest house offers warm hospitality from owners, Marilyn & Meredith Goodwin. If you're lucky, they'll even share their famous banana bread recipe.

Breakfast is made to order, so pick anything you like and we'll make it for you. In the mood for something exotic? Let us know ahead of time so we can get the right ingredients.

WiFi & Coffee
All the rooms have access to complimentary WiFi. We'll provide the password on arrival. Each room also has its own tea and coffee station with a kettle, cafetiere and biscuits.
Garden, Patio & BBQ Facilities
Enjoy your morning coffee in the lush green garden and say hello to the fish in the double pond. We also have BBQ facilities and a big outdoor table, if you're in the mood for some grilling.
Fresh Towels & Robes
We provide a selection of big fluffy towels and wash cloths. In each cupboard you'll find his & hers dressing gowns and slippers. Every room also has its own hairdryer and vanity set.
Special Occasions
We love to celebrate, so let us know if you're coming for a special occasion. We've hosted bridal parties, family reunions and birthday parties. You also have the option to book the entire house, if there is availability.
Parking & Bus Stop

There is ample on-site parking.
If you're catching the train from London, a bus outside Oxford Parkway will take you right to the front gates. Busses to Oxford city centre leave regularly from the same stop.

Tour Blenheim Palace
Just around the corner from Lyne House is the world heritage site, Blenheim Palace. The beautiful grounds offer an incredible place to explore for the day. And often, the palace hosts exciting events from concerts, to festivals, and markets. If you're visiting in the winter months, we recommend the festive annual light show - an experience
not to be missed!
Visit Oxford
Oxford is a quick, 20 minute bus ride from outside Lyne House. The historic city is bustling with sights and activities. Enjoy long summer's days punting down the river, or visit one of the city's many pubs and restaurants. If you want to get to know the university a little better, there are many free walking tours of the historic colleges and a city sightseeing bus.
Walk Along The Canal
The Oxford canal is a short stroll from Lyne House. Along the canal walk you'll find many of Kidlington's finest attractions from The Jolly Boatman pub to Annie's Tea Room in Thrupp. A 5km circular walk will take you through expansive fields, and you might even see a deer or two. You'll pass St Mary's Church and meander down Kidlington high-street back to Lyne House.
Retail Therapy at Bicester Village
Ready to shop till you drop? The famous designer outlet retail village is the place for you. Bicester Village is a short train, bus or car ride from Lyne House. The shopping village is home to a wide selection of your favourite brands, from the likes of Mulberry, Ralph Lauren, Gucci and many many more.
Eat, Drink & Be Merry
Kidlington offers delicious dining to suit all tastes. From traditional pub fare to exotic delicacies. In the summer, many local pubs offer outdoor dining. And in the winter, the fireplace roars at the Red Lion. If you're after something simple, there are ample options from fish & chips to pizza and even a steak & frites
food truck.
Go to London
Hop on the train at Oxford Parkway and in under an hour you'll be in the centre of one of the world's greatest cities. The best part? You can be back in Oxford on the very same day. Trains depart for Marylebone station every half hour and return as frequently.
